The Role of Entertainment and Self-Awareness: Mental Health, Creativity, and Inner Growth in the Digital Era

Entertainment—a single word that opens with confusion if it lacks meaning or purpose from the speaker—must be explained at length to be understood. This serves as a challenge for oneself to keep constructing words until the meaning becomes clear. It might be easy and brief to explain, but duration also matters for some creators when crafting twists or improving website bounce rate—not in a gaming sense, but as a trick to keep readers engaged longer. In articles, it’s called the introduction; in videos, the opening; in music, the intro. And if this is considered spam, it can also be called small talk.

Entertainment is something considered enjoyable—but it’s a different story if we are the clown or the entertainer. Not in a negative way! Let’s talk about how effort does not betray results; what we sow is what we reap.

Let the “entertainer” be our topic this time, to be digested deeply and meaningfully—so that this too can become a form of entertainment for the reader.

Quoting a legendary band with a song titled "The Entertainer"—this also happens to be one of my favorite songs, and a favorite of many others.

Instead of endlessly discussing songs, let’s move forward and finish this session through to the final paragraph.

We’ve talked about “entertainment” but not yet about the prefix “entert-”. As a prefix, it connects words. A small twist in wordplay can shift how we think, turning “entert” into “money” and interpreting “entertainment” as “entert-money”—a pun, but it still fits this article.

Let’s treat this as entertainment for today. Don’t become an actor behind someone else’s joy—who pays you for your role—if you can’t even bring joy to yourself.

It’s different if you’re truly an actor or artist who turns a profession into a hobby.

Use your free time more productively rather than stuffing yourself with endless information you access daily.

If you exhaust your potential energy without managing it, manifestation will never come.

Being honest with yourself boosts mental health, which is often simplified as peace of mind.

Try to feel what it's like being the writer of the blog you're currently reading. Chances are, it mentally affects your actions and emotions—you may think, “I can write better than this.”

But in reality, you're still reading this article, looking for how you too can write something as good as other blogs. That’s because you don’t quite believe you can do it better.

Sometimes stability comes from scattered unique words across the hundreds of articles you've read—until you pour them into your own ideas, making them even more interesting than before.

It’s undeniable that everything is copied, modified, and observed. Even those who can't learn independently can become professionals if supported by strong technology and media.

These days, it's hard to tell who’s aligned with their character and work, or who's just lucky. It all depends on passion and luck, with strong enthusiasm to chase dreams.

Even after years of developing a habit—becoming a "hobbit" of sorts—if you don’t upgrade your quality while manifesting success, you'll remain in the low tier or get stuck for a long time. Not because you can’t, but because you shut yourself off from anything that smells like success while constantly chasing it. The key you hold is useless if it doesn’t open the door you aim for. Everyone has their own path, but choosing to stay still is like screaming inside—who’s going to hear that?
